Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) provides a variety of specialized services to eligible
individuals with physical, mental, or emotional impairments to help them prepare
for or maintain employment.
VR services are provided on an individual basis and may include:
- Evaluation of aptitudes and abilities to determine a vocational goal
- Tools/equipment/licenses required for employment*
- Counseling and guidance
- Training
- Work adjustment
- Interpreter/reader services for the deaf and blind
- Rehabilitation teaching
- Attendant care
- Orientation/mobility
- Job placement
- Tools/equipment/licenses required for employment*
- Books/training supplies*
- Physical/mental restoration*
- Transportation allowance*
- Financial assistance*
